报告人简介:

张晓,香港理工大学机械工程学系助理教授,香港理工大学校长青年学者。2017年在新加坡南洋理工大学获得博士学位,2021年秋季就职于香港理工大学,主要从事新型层状材料的合成和制备、电化学反应器组装以及清洁能源的转化等研究。目前在Nat. Catal.、Nat. Chem.、Nat. Rev. Chem.、Nat. Commun.、Chem. Soc. Rev.、Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.、Adv. Mater.等国际学术期刊上发表SCI论文100余篇,H因子59。受邀担任eScience, SmartMat等期刊青年编委,担任Nature Sustainability, Joule, ACS nano, Chemical Engineering Journal等期刊独立审稿人。曾获“欧洲材料协会青年科学家奖”,于2020,2021,2022年连续入榜全球“高被引科学家”。

报告内容简介:

Electrochemicalproductionof high-valuable chemicals/fuels from atmospheric molecules (O2, H2O, CO2, NO3-) is a clean and sustainable route compared to traditional chemical manufacturing approaches. The electrochemical approach promisingly leads to defossilization, decarbonization, and decentralization of the chemical industry. A critical step towards the practical implementation of the electrochemical approaches is the design of an appropriate electrocatalytic interface and electrocatalytic cell configuration toward specific catalytic reactions. In this talk, I will introduce our recent progress in catalytic interface engineering and chemical reactor design for the practical production of valuable chemicals and fuels, such as hydrogen peroxide from oxygen, and acetic acid from CO2.
